Head Coach Recap Heat De-Claws Cougars Clinches Playoff Berth Heschel 3 v. Frisch 2 5-17-22 Heschel Heat leashed the fierce Frisch Cougars in a 3-2 win, tying them down in their first defeat this season and seizing first place in the Division Standings. In twin overwhelming victories, smooth Max Rabin, Heat #1, parried and passed his way to a 10-3 win and “feelin’ it” William Rose, Heat #2, outlasted and outblasted his adversary in long exchanges, pouncing with clean winners to earn his 10-3 result. Ethan Hess and Noah Wishengrad again displayed their dynamic #2 doubles teamwork scoring a 10-7 win by pumping each other up when down, confidently exchanging places in side to side battles and changing paces when needed to earn their openings. Jolting Jamie Covit used his piercing serve and Steady Oliver Green his consistent return game, battling at #1 doubles in a razor’s edge 8-10 defeat, the penultimate battle of the night. Stalwart Singles #3 Alex Potter stood strong for long rallies lasting minutes at a time as he exchanged interminable forehand rallies and survived multiple break points in an overtime contest to fall in the tiebreaker 7-8 (5). With the head to head win against Frisch, Heschel now owns first place in the Western Conference, with a potential 3 way tie for first looming, as Heschel, Frisch and Ramaz all have lost only once thus far this season.
