Working together for the good of soccer in the league
3/17/2017 11:21

SSLI played Westchester yesterday and won. Although the score was lopsided, both coaches took advantage of the situation to utilize our coaching skills and the skills of my better players to finish the game in a scrimmage/clinic style. We were able to create an atmosphere of fun, learning and comrodery between opposing players. It was really a great way to offset the fact of the score. Both teams ended up feeling good about what they did on the court and were able to walk away with a positive feeling of mutual respect for each other and the game of soccer. This experience really exemplified achdut (togetherness) and kol yisrael areivim zeh b'zeh (all in Israel are responsible for one another) - aspects of this league that I and my team hope to learn and abide by to make our membership in the league truly enjoyable.

Great job by the coaches of Westchester..Thank You
