The Heschel Heat for the umptienth time this year won a clsoe hard fought game overcoming a 4 point half time deficit to take a 7 point lead late in the 4th Qtr. and then had to hold on to a vain SAR team that never quit. The Heat were lead by Captains Jeremy Spiera and Michael Gatan ,two three year starting guards for the Heat who had 18 and 15 points respectively. Harlan Reiss chipped in with 13, 8 in the important 3rd Qtr. comeback. THe Heat held SAR's superb forward Dovie Marcus in check who was in foul trouble all game to 9 points but could not contain Sr. Wisotsky's 26 points, most coming in crucial spots. The Heat are now 12+0, 3+0 in league play and have another big game in 2 nights as they entertain Frisch.

In a well played and hard fought game, The Frisch Cougars took it to The Heschel Heat early opening up a 12-4 lead after the first period. The Heat began to battle back and closed within 3 at the half (22-19) and came out of halftime with much better defensive intensity and opened a 36-32 lead after 3 and then went 11 for 13 at the foul line in the 4th period to pull away to a 12 point lead and finished with a 59-50 win. . Co Captains and 3 year starters Michael Gatan and Jeremy Spiera played their usual excellent floor games and had 10 and 15 points respectively and Sr. Harlan Reiss after a very quiet first half had 15 points in the 2nd half,  17 total as well as a career high 10 rebounds. Sr. Sam Fishman lead Frisch with 16 points and many rebounds while Isaac Laifer played a superb game directing traffic and chipping in with 13 points. THe Heat are now 13+0, 4+0 in league play and now await their cross town rivals, Ramaz at home on WEdnesday Dec 7.
