Maor started off the cloudy Sunday afternoon by taking an early 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st. The JEC defense was the main story of this game. JEC’s 2 runs were scored in bottom of the first when Moshe Heller led off with a walk followed by a single by outfielder Eli Ukrancik. Aaron Heller flew out to deep left field and catcher Avi Szczupakiewiuz had a long single to load the bases. After Ben Hamu got left fielder Ariel Braun to line out to first base, Yitzchak Kapetas delivered a 2 run single to left to close out the scoring. The game was a complete pitcher's duel from then on between starting pitchers Gidon Hagler (JEC) and Eliyahu Benhamou (Maor); no scoring was done after the 1st inning and the score would remain 2-1. As such, the highlights from the game were mostly done on the defensive end. The JEC defense turned 4 double plays. JEC won 2-1, and advanced to play DRS at home in the semi-finals.
