Hillel Heat's five first-inning runs built an early lead that helped bring home an 8-5 win over Maor on Wednesday.

The Heat scored in the first on a two-run double by Marty Antebi, an RBI single by Ikey Betesh, an RBI single by Jake Dimitro, and an error.

Dimitro went a perfect 2-2 at the dish for the Heat.

Michael Ancona got the win for  Hillel  despite allowing five runs over seven innings. He struck out two, walked four and surrendered eight hits.

BenHamou ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed eight runs in six innings, walked two and struck out one.

Two runs in the top of the third helped Maor close its deficit to 5-2. An RBI triple by BenHamou and an error triggered Maor's comeback. Finally, Michael Ancona got Rafi Abadi to fly out to end the threat.

A two-run fourth inning helped bring Maor within one. A sacrifice fly by BenHamou and an RBI single by Dadoun sparked Maor's rally. But, Michael Ancona got Sharabi to strike out to end the inning.

The Heat piled on three more runs in the bottom of the sixth. A hit into a fielder's choice scored Dimitro to get the Heat on the board in the inning. That was followed up by Noah Maze's double, plating David DC Cohen

One run in the top of the seventh helped Maor close its deficit to 8-5.  Finally, Michael Ancona got Belhassen to fly out to end the game.
