TABC falls 12-5 at the hands of the Hillel Heat

The Hillel Heat beat TABC on Sunday 12-5 at Frisch Field in seven innings.

 

The Heat scored four runs in the seventh on an RBI double by Abraham Seruya, a two-run single by Michael Ancona, and an RBI single by Jimmie Shrem.

 

Michael Ancona racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Hillel Heat.

 

Even though Alex Dweck allowed five runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered 11 hits.

 

Eli Schloss ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed 11 runs in six innings, walked two and struck out one.

 

Hillel jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first. David “Buca” Cohen singled to ignite the Heat's offense. Michael Ancona doubled, plating Seruya and Jake Dimitro.

 

Hillel stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the third, scoring two runs on a two-run double by Michael Ancona.

 

The Heat scored four runs in the fifth, highlighted by a three-run blast over the left field wall off the bat of Marty Antebi, scoring Seruya and Buca Cohen.
