In a very tightly contested game, Haftr was able to pull away in the second half and defeat Flatbush 54-48.  The game began with Haftr starting strong and going up early in the first quarter.  Flatush, led by the tremendous inside play of Jack Rosow and Jack Mishaan, was able to battle back and take the lead on a three point play by Rosow at 22-19 which was the halftime score.  Jack Rosow scored 13 of his 17 points in the first half.  Haftr game out and switched up the defense but the third quarter was a back and forth battle with the game basically even through the end of the third quarter.  In the fourth quarter, Haftr was able to build an 11 point lead.  Flatbush was able to keep the game very close behind the outstanding second half play of Maurice Mosseri who scored 10 of his 14 points in the second half.  Flatbush was lead by Rosow (17) and Mosseri (14).  Congratulations on a great season and a great job by all of the players and both coaches, Michael Gurock and Gus Kennedy.  Haftr was led by the stellar shooting of Ben Kornblum as well as great inside play on both offense and defense by Simon Perlow.  Throughout the game though, it was the consistent play of Shai Lanaido that helped the hawks to victory. Haftr was led by Laniado (17), Perlow (11) and Kornblum (9).  Haftr now goes on to face SAR in the quarterfinals.
