If you didn’t know any better you might just assume an NBA game was taking place in New Jersey last night as the Warriors and the Thunder battled it out. However, ,in reality, it was just another night of JV hockey as  JEC and Magen David finished off their second and final meeting of the year.

As has been the case  most of the year it was the JEC that stuck first as Sophomores Aryeh Marcus and Elisha Schmutter alternated having their names places on the score sheet, with Marcus chipping one in early to give the home team an early lead followed by a late period Power Play goal scored by Schmutter.  Marcus would then fire home his second of the game to finish off the first, giving JEC a commanding 3-0 lead at the end of the first period.

With the start of the Second it was Sophomore Elisha Schmutter on the Power Play, who once again found the back of the net, and , when all was said and done,  it would be Schmutter who would end his evening with 4 goals, his final two being sandwiched between goals by Sophomore All Star Defenseman Netanel Kramer and Freshman Sammy Simcha.

Once again the JV Thunder received solid goaltending from the sophomore tandem of Alec Seidman and Sammy Friedman, who were solid when called upon.  Additionally,  solid fore-checking by Freshman Michael Lowinger and Josh Schanzer,  as well as steady and reliable defense from  Sophomores Yitzy Hershkowitz,  Binyamin Babayof and Moshe Nasser and the  not to be forgotten  Freshman Yair Cantor, would help the JV thunder close the game with another solid performance.
