SSLI vs Flatbush turned into a real classic game. Flatbush defeated SSLI early on in the season 8-0, so SSLI was coming in to prove that the last game was not indictive of their true ability. The game was tight the whole time. Flatbush jumped out to a 1-0 lead half way thru the first period. SSlI played stellar defense in the 2nd period. The game headed into the 3rd with the score still 1-0. With 4 minutes left in the game SSLI finally broke through with a goal to tie the game with a wonderful individual effort from David Abada. Flatbush pushed back quickly and scored 35 seconds later to regain the lead. SSLI pulled their goalie with less than a minute and on a poer play 5 on 3. However SSLI came up short and Flatbush held.
