The Heschel Heat, fresh from an overtime win on the road at Frisch, came home to the friendly confines of the 8th floor on West End Ave and beat a very tough TABC team 67-46. The first half was a hotly contested encounter with the Heat up by 5 at half time 27-22. The Storm came out storming early in the 2nd half and drew within 2 before the Heat went on a 23-4 run to end the Qtr. up 54-33. It was a full team effort for The Heat led by Sr. Brothers Aaron and Ben Brandeis who had 6 and 9 points respectively. Sr. Matt goldstein had 2 threes and the Heat continued its 3 point barrage hitting 9 for the game and 26 in their first 3 games. Ben Brandeis finished with 20, brother Aaron had 16, with Goldstein chipping in with 9 (3 threes) and Sr. Sam Schwartzben with 10 coming off his 30 point performance against Frisch. THe Storm were led by Sr. point guard Tai Gerzsberg and Jr, Moshe Proctor who had 10 and 13 each. Sr. Gavi Smith also had 3 threes and 13 points. The Heat will travel to Los Angeles for the inauguaral Shalavet tournament along with Frisch, SAR and TABC who the Heat will play in their second game on Thursday Nov 12. They do not return to League play until early December when they have 7 league games before the Christmas break.
